Join us for a magical week of relaxation, gently activity, culture and fine-dining in the Umbrian Hills. Based in the idyllic hilltop location of the old Abbey- Abazzia di Colemedia, we are immersed in nature and the rich local culture. From daily yoga sessions and hiking tours to a vineyard visit, wine-tasting and cookery class, there is plenty on offer for you to explore the area, culture and recharge your batteries. Or you can simply chill out by the pool with a good book. Evenings we dine together in.
Yoga – no previous experience of yoga necessary.
Hiking - The daily hikes will vary in length and difficulty each day. Most will be easy – medium difficulty walks. Routes are along a mixed of wider trails and some narrower footpaths. Most paths are well maintained and there are few exposed or secured sections making it a technically easy tour for any hiker. Paths may be rough underfoot (roots and rocks) so solid hiking boots with good ankle support and sole (e.g.vibram) are recommended- and for the longer hiking tours a must.
We are based at Abazzia di Colemedia for the week where you can choose to participate as and how you want in the following activities. The retreat timings and schedule will be shared at the beginning of the week.
Daily morning / evening yoga
Daily hiking tour – including one sunrise tour
Local vineyard visit
Umbrian cookery class
We are based in the beautiful green hills in the heart of Umbria at Abazzia di Colemedia (www.abbaziacollemedio.it) A former monastery, the abbey has been converted into a 4* hotel.
Abbazia di Colemedia has an exclusive restaurant, beautiful outdoor swimming pool to relax and cool off on hot days, a tennis court, as well as a brand new sauna and well-being area.
Umbria is well-known for its rich history and cultural heritage, as well as rolling hills and enchanting sunset backdrops. The medieval towns of Perugia, Todi, Bevagna, Montefalco ed Assisi are only a stone’s throw from our base. Lesser trodden than its neighbouring region of Tuscany, Umbria offers culinary delights in equal measure and warm welcomes from local, family- run enterprises – giving you an authentic taste of local life and tradition.
