Our Outdoor First Aid course is a 16 hour remote first aid course ideal for Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award leaders, school field trip leaders and teachers who are working with groups away from school, as well as outdoor enthusiasts.
This two day Outdoor First Aid course is delivered in English by the Alpines Rettungswesen e.V. giving you recognised certification for First Aid in Remote Locations.
The course is based in Lenggries in the Bavarian Pre-Alps, with a mix of indoor theory and outdoor activity for the practical development of skills involving complex incident scenarios. The more you practice, the better you are prepared for an emergency situation and can deliver calmer, purposeful and appropriate first aid.
Rooms:4 bed rooms with ensuite shower/WC
Full board:Breakfast & buffet dinner – please let us know any dietary requirements in advance. Packed lunch included Sunday. Please bring packed lunch Saturday. Snacks available for purchase.
We will be inside and outside in the area local to the hostel. Walking will be on easy trails. Some incident scenarios may take place off the track, so sturdy footwear (hiking boots with ankle support) and comfortable clothes for moving around in outdoors and in all weathers are a must.
The village of Lenggries lies in the in the Isarwinkel, in the foothills of the Bavarian Alps. It is well-known for its winter ski area on the Brauneck mountain, the river Isar which flows alongside it and the many surrounding hiking trails. It is a perfect base for all manner of outdoor activities throughout the year.
