Our day tours take you away from the hustle and bustle and give us opportunities to look closely at the fascinating winter wildlife and nature around us. We adapt the route according to the conditions and provide the necessary equipment (snowshoes, poles or snow spikes) for a hassle-free, magical and safe winter adventure.

N.B. We adapt our route according to the current conditions- if there is not enough snow for snow-shoeing, we will organise an alternative winter walking route and provide snowspikes and poles as necessary, so you can still enjoy a wonderful winter wonderland experience!

We only cancel and provide refunds if we have to cancel due to severe weather warnings.

Activity level

Easy: Suitable for all hikers and beginner snowshoers (Ascents of approx 400m) and walking time 4-5hrs
Medium: Previous hiking experience and sure-footedness necessary. You should be prepared for ascents of 500-700m and walking time 5-6hrs.

Itinerary

We will decide the tour location according to conditions at the time, to get the best of the snow. The meeting point will be a point accessible by public transportation from Munich (Approx 1.5hrs) and car. From there we will fit the equipment and then head out on our tour.

Our tours will take us along snowy trails through forest, open snow-covered meadows with opportunities to get off-trail and make our own tracks. We will stop along the route for snacks, picnic and hot drinks. If there is a catered hut along the route we will let you know in the joining instructions.

Travel

We recommend travel with via public transport from Munich Hauptbahnhof. Travel costs not are included in price. From Munich we recommend getting a group MVV Day Ticket or Bayern Ticket. This costs approx €35-60 for up to 5 people depending on the destination.
